How MAEEA started
The Michigan Association of Educational Executive Assistants (MAEEA) began with a desire to connect with others across the State of Michigan who work in the educational field, supporting superintendents and boards of education.
The goal was to create a listserv and hold meetings to learn, share, and support each other, discovering some cool tips and tricks from each other!
Our beginnings:
February 26, 2024 - Idea takes shape
April 18, 2024 - MASA MASB Leader Assistant Workshop announced and attendees invited
May 14, 2024 - Listserv created
May 15, 2024 - Group name announced & First meeting heldÂ
Feb 20, 2025 - Logo unveiled
March 11, 2025 - Began utilizing Slack for communications
